How this quote is built
Paste an Azure BOM or SKU. Resolve published Retail Prices API meters. Pretax PAYG list at 730 hours per month. No invented meters.

Every priced line is a meter from the unauthenticated Azure Retail Prices API. Filters are OData and case-sensitive. There is no price sheet, no guessed unit, and no Marketplace ISV catalog. If the API does not publish a meter, the line is blocked at “—” — including Microsoft Cost Management (official rate 0%), Cloud Shell, DevTest Labs, Advisor, Migrate, Lighthouse, Open Datasets, Managed Applications, and Media Services.
730 hours, pretax
Hourly meters use 730 hours per month (8760 / 12). Daily meters use 365 / 12. Monthly meters are 1 × quantity. USD is Microsoft’s list currency. Other currencies are the API’s reference FX, not a billing currency. Taxes, EA / MCA / CSP discounts, support, and reserved-instance marketplace offers that the API does not return are omitted.
SKU paste, not invented SKUs
Paste a BOM or a SKU name. Aliases map informal names (D4s v5, Defender P2, Sentinel 100 GB) onto published serviceName / skuName / meterName fields. Open a line to switch the meter if several match. Entra ID P1/P2 are Microsoft 365 licenses — the Azure retail meter for directory sync is Entra Domain Services.
Spot and Hybrid Benefit are never default
PAYG consumption is the first offer. Spot is interruptible capacity; Review never applies it. Azure Hybrid Benefit / DevTest needs Software Assurance or a Dev/Test subscription — eligibility is not in the API, so “Apply recommended” never selects Spot or AHB.
What a fact page cites
Each SKU and service URL is one sentence, the live PAYG rate, the official meter name, and the fetch timestamp. Quote ids of the form GQ-YYYY-MMDD are browser-local quotes with a stable path under /q/. The share card is an example layout of a priced sheet — live rates are on these pages and in Quote, not baked into the image.
